Your Role

As a chef de partie, you are responsible for the service in the kitchen and the restaurant. You provide the ultimate culinary guest experience in our hotel. You are responsible for preparing and serving drinks and dishes. You also handle taking orders, recording reservation requests, and settling bills in the restaurant.

  • Mise en place: Preparing cold and hot dishes and desserts, preparing items for banquets, sandwich preparation, and pastry work.
  • During service: Preparing and finishing dishes according to orders, adhering to specific timing, recipes, work methods, and organization. Plating and garnishing dishes, ensuring the correct portioning of different meal components, possibly providing instructions to helpers, and filling in for the head chef when absent.
  • After service: Cleaning your section, checking the quality and freshness of products, handling food leftovers, ensuring hygienic storage and preservation of food, keeping the fridge(s) and freezer clean and organized, monitoring stock, placing orders, cleaning work tools and workstations.
  • Guest service: Welcoming guests and guiding them to their tables, providing menu and drink advice, taking orders, clearing and resetting tables, being attentive to the needs and wishes of guests, handling complaints, setting up buffets, preparing meals if necessary, preparing drinks, serving dishes and drinks, following hygiene standards.

Knowledge and Meaningful Skills:

  • You have at least a secondary diploma, preferably from a hotel school.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and are proficient in at least one other language.
  • You have sufficient digital skills.
