voco™ Brussels City North in Vilvoorde is looking for an F&B host (m/f/x) with a view to a fixed contract.
A taste of your day-to-day
You ensure that the room and the bar are ready for our customers: you set the tables, you check the stock, you fill the refrigerators, you prepare the necessary decorations, etc. A good mise-en-place makes a good impression.
You greet our guests with a warm welcome and you guide them to their tables. You give the drinks and menu. You present the suggestions and you advise our customers in their choice. You take the order and pass it on to the bar and kitchen via the cash register system.
You serve the drinks and dishes to our customers appropriately and you are at the forefront of their needs. You work according to the applicable hygiene standards.
You pay and prepare everything for the next customer. After the service you clean up and prepare the room for the next service.
During busy moments you help your colleagues in the room or at the bar so that we can always guarantee our guests a smooth service.
What we require of you
You can work 38 hours a week in a continuous work schedule from Monday to Sunday.
You preferably have a secondary diploma, preferably hotel school, or you have at least two years of experience in a relevant position.
It is a physical job where you are on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important.
You have basic reading, writing and math skills.
You have a strong interest in hospitality, you are easily approachable and you know how to turn problems into opportunities.

Location
Our hotel is located at Indringingsweg 1 in Vilvoorde. If you come by bike, we provide a covered bicycle shed. If you come by public transport, you can easily reach us by bus and tram because there are several stops nearby. If you come by car, we have a staff car park.
