We are looking for a Second chef (m/f/x) who makes the most delicious taste

voco™ Brussels City North in Vilvoorde is looking for a Second chef (m/f/x) with a view to a fixed contract.
A taste of your day-to-day
You assist the Chef in organizing and controlling the kitchen activities such as mise-en-place, preparations, storage, stock and cleaning.
You process requests for menu adjustments in the context of diets, allergies and intolerances.
You follow the guidelines on food safety and hygiene.
You have the ability to look beyond your own party and jump in where necessary.
You take over the management of the kitchen team in the absence of the chef.
What we require of you

You can work 38 hours a week in a continuous work schedule from Monday to Sunday.

You preferably have a secondary diploma, preferably hotel school, or you have at least three years of experience in a relevant position.

You have good reading, writing and math skills.

As a Second chef you are someone who knows how to motivate, correct and coach.

You are a real food lover, you attach great importance to food safety and you know how to turn problems into opportunities.

Location
Our hotel is located at Indringingsweg 1 in Vilvoorde. If you come by bike, we provide a covered bicycle shed. If you come by public transport, you can easily reach us by bus and tram because there are several stops nearby. If you come by car, we have a staff car park.
